Patient Safety Statement

Dr. Sim Lew-Gor
Melbourne, Victoria & Wagga Wagga, New South Wales
Effective
January 2026
Applies to
All consultations, treatments and surgical procedures
Governed by
Australian Consumer Law & AHPRA Guidelines
Our Priority

Patient safety is the primary consideration in all aspects of care.

Every consultation, recommendation, and treatment is guided by a commitment to:

  • clinical appropriateness
  • anatomical precision
  • minimisation of risk
Clinical Environment

All treatments are performed in a setting that supports:

  • appropriate clinical standards
  • infection control protocols
  • safe delivery of care

Equipment and materials are selected in accordance with recognised medical standards.

Qualified Medical Care

All procedures are performed by Dr Sim Lew-Gor, a medically qualified practitioner with training in facial anatomy and surgical principles.

This ensures that:

  • treatment planning is medically informed
  • procedures are performed with anatomical accuracy
  • complications, if they arise, are appropriately managed
Assessment Before Treatment

No treatment is performed without prior consultation.

Assessment includes:

  • medical history
  • anatomical evaluation
  • discussion of risks and alternatives

Where treatment is not considered appropriate, it will not be recommended.

Risk Management

All procedures carry some level of risk.

To minimise risk, we:

  • adopt a conservative, staged approach where appropriate
  • use techniques supported by clinical experience and evidence
  • provide clear aftercare instructions

Patients are encouraged to report any concerns promptly.

Emergency Preparedness

Appropriate protocols are in place to respond to unexpected complications.

Where necessary, patients will be referred for further medical care.

Ongoing Care

Patient safety extends beyond the procedure itself.

Follow-up care and review are provided where appropriate to ensure:

  • safe recovery
  • appropriate outcome assessment
In Summary

Safe care begins with appropriate decision-making. Not every treatment should be performed—and knowing when not to treat is central to patient safety.
